Where the snorkelling is actually good

Every Curaçao beach claims snorkelling; on most, you'll swim a long way over sand to find a fish. These are the ones where the reef genuinely starts within swimming distance of shore — ranked by our own rating, not by whoever paid for placement. Two practical truths first: the best entries are often the rockiest (2 of the 9 below need water shoes), and gear rental outside the beach clubs is a coin flip, so bring your own mask. Turtles favour the fishing-pier beaches, where the scraps are.

Ratings are editorial (1–5), based on reef distance, water clarity and what recent visitors consistently report. We don't sell positions on this list.
